No gyaru makeup would be complete without the addition of fake eyelashes, also known as Tsuke-Matsuge (tsukema) in Japanese is the corner stone building block of Gyaru eye make up. Rarely are asian girls blessed with long flowing lashes that caucasian woman seem to have. Event though mascara can add a lot of volume and definition, adding fake eyelashes takes the look to a whole new level. The centre piece of the Gyaru look (apart from the hair) really is the eyes. Nail the eyes right and the look is magnified.
When deciding on fake eyelashes there is actually a rhyme and reason to it all. When it comes to choice you have 3 basic options.
1. Drooping Eyes:
The emphasis here is on highlighting the corner of the eyes and making them seem like they droop down to create a cute soft almost anime look. A basic for most gyaru eye make styles and will make you cute no matter what. When selecting fake eyelashes to compliment this gyaru makeup style you want to select ones that add volume to the corner of the eyes.

2. Almond Eyes:
You will get eyes that resemble that of a cat when you aim for almond eyes type of look that is always fashionable and a little more on the sexy side.

For this type of look it is more common to start the fake eyelashes from the pupils of the eye and finish it at the corners of the eye. When applying eyeliner remember to go a little bit thicker to balance out the longer fake eyelashes that you will be using.
3. Circle Eyes:
The last type of fake eyelashes and is something that has come into vogue recently with the Gyaru crowd. By using the the same type of fake eyelashes on the top and bottom you can create round doll like eyes. Which would work very well with circle lenses.
